I wasn’t expecting an anti-colonial invective, but I’ll take it. Especially when it’s served up with Tom Baker’s gleeful Doctor and Douglas Adams’ witty turns of phrase.

In terms of the narration, this is outstanding. I genuinely thought they’d spliced in clips of Tom Baker speaking. But apparently Jon Culshaw is known for his ability to mimic Baker.

I didn’t love this one as much as I expected to. I think I struggled to connect to the characters in this one – unlike the ones in the main series.

Marie’s story made me so unbelievably angry. So I’m glad her story is out there. It needs to be told.

But you know what this story didn’t need? A heavy dose of copaganda. This is the story of how an entire police force screwed over a woman who came to them for help. Yet somehow, the cops – including the ones who decided that what this woman really needed right now was to be repeatedly interrogated – come out smelling of roses. Nah.

What if Tasha Yar got Tuvixed with LaForge?

Fun. Could have done with a bit deeper dive on the characters, but still very enjoyable.

Characterrific black-comedy cyberpunk golden-age mystery.

This book is not perfect and there are some serious unanswered questions. But it is fun. I loved the dynamic between Sky and Angel and want to read more about them.

I love this series so much. And the growth all for of the characters showed in this series made me so proud of them! Marius and Stephen both broke my heart a bit, though in different ways.

Gentle sci-fi. The story  does get dark in places, yet it retains its Warmth and hopefulness throughout.
