I want to say so much about this book but spoilers are bad. It’s a hard book to put down, so plan your reading time accordingly to avoid getting bonked in the face with the book in the wee hours of the night

This is a brilliant book with many different perspectives. Parts are really hard and much demands a look at where the gulf between our pretty words vs the reality of our actions and our institutions. We can and must do better. Seeing where we are now is the first step.

She does a really nice job of breaking theory and practice into separate sections which, like many of the approaches, allows for the audience to move from a passive to an active role. I’ve seen some processes like these and they’ve worked well. I’m looking forward to fumbling through what she described and seeing how it unfolds.

This book definitely merits a second read after a while. Sometimes I need thing to marinate before I really get them, especially the more theory heavy parts

A great and interesting take on time travel and what it would mean were it a thing. It’s also got a nice historical exploration of civil rights and especially women’s rights in the US.

Parts of this book are challenging and it’s a hard book to put down. To say more would be in spoiler land and the way the story opens up Ida something to be savored. Such a great read.
