This is a book about living, not about dying. I spent three months slowly walking through this book. Bit by bit with a lot of pausing and reflecting I 

This  my life.is likely the most important book that I’ve read this year. As a prostate cancer survivor facing death was an important part of my process. As a transgender American November 5 was an epic gut punch. 

This book helped me put both of those existential crisis into a place where I could learn from them. They both really suck and there’s nothing good about them. Neither one can magically be erased. 

Here I sit and what do I do?  I learn, I grow, and in this book is a key part to how I was able to do that

This is a very important work. Not all of it will be easy but neither is life. It all matters and if we are to ever build a fair and just society this chapter cannot be ignored.
