I couldn't stand either character.  Felt like it was trying too hard to be funny that it was just cringe.  

The writing felt off.  I just wasn't connecting with it but thought I would power through.  But when he said it doesn't do P in V and she jumped so fast at that proposal just rubbed me the wrong way.  I understand where he is coming from without getting his whole back story just yet but this isn't how I want to see a romance play out.  Maybe it is my headspace today but just not feeling that aspect.  

These two were so confusing to the point of annoyance.  I found myself skimming a bunch of their inner monologues as they were redundant and they never did what they said they were going to do so it didn't seem relevant to the story.  

This 10000% on me.  I am in my J Saman era and am binging all the things.  Even if I know that love after loss is something I really don't enjoy reading.  And this one was everything that I don't enjoy in this trope.  He spent the vast majority of this book telling himself and the FMC he can't love her because he loves his wife who passed away two years ago and took all of his heart and soul with her.  That just isn't romance to me.  

Another good one from Hunter and well worth the wait.  I adored Hayes, Quinn and Flora.  I loved watching them all grow together and seeing their bonds develop.  I would have liked to understand Flora a bit better and why she is so reserved.  I realize it stems from her bio dad but there was no real development of that and it was a bit disappointing.  But that is my only real gripe.  I loved how fun they all were.  I loved how Hayes stood up for Quinn with her family and pointed out how they were failing her.  I loved the found family with the hockey team.  Those boys are a riot.  I just love this world.  

I adored this book.  I loved watching the relationships develop between Ryder and Kira, Ryder and Violet, Kira and Addie and Addie and Kira.  It was just so sweet and cute and fun.  I couldn't get enough of them.
