Love Tchaikovsky and read almost everything by him. I was wary of this one purely from a standpoint of not loving robot main characters in books that I read. It’s a personal preference! This almost bucked that trend - especially the very entertaining second-half - but I still didn’t love it.

If you come in thinking it’ll be like one of the six Dune books that Frank wrote, you’ll be disappointed.

It’s a fun glimpse of prequel events written in a brisk pace that is pretty standard sci-fi (with a little dystopian influence in there). I like that kind of stuff, so this was pretty much my jam.
