I really like this series: the MCs are interesting and the kink is well done. Not a 5 stars because I felt like the MCs didn't spend enough time together outside kink (or at least, the reader doesn't see it) to explain how the fall in love. I think this is true for also the other books I read, but this time it impacted my enjoyment a bit.

It felt too stalker-ish for my tastes

I'm in a huge reading slump, and this book was perfect. A short and adorable queer romance, it made me smile so much reading it. I can't wait to read other books from the author in the same series, it seems to have such an interesting queer cast!

I couldn't keep up with any of the names of the planets and stuff like that. Definitely my fault because it's not the right moment for me to read a book like this

The kink was well written, but the romance didn't make much sense IMHO? It's insta-everything in such a weird way, it's like Dare can read into Ryan and Scott's minds and know everything they want. Also there wasn't enough pining for a best-friends-to-lovers romance.

This book has done two amazing feats:
1) I was able to read this book as a standalone and absolutely loved it.
2) The two MCs know each other well and have been friends with benefits for years before the beginning of the story. Despite that, their romance was never boring. You can see their feelings grow, and as they start to understand one another better.

The overarching plot (which well, did spoil the first book for me, but obviously it is my fault) was interesting and entertaining. I always find so interesting the different ways in which authors create queer-normative historical romances. The authors created an imperfect world in which injustices exist, but queer readers can take a break from the injustices of our time.

I highly recommend it.

I received a copy of this book from the author, and this is my honest review.

Everything about how the two MCs experience their lives as trans men was written in an amazing way. The two MCs were simply adorable together. 4 stars because a love story between a fan and a famous person (of any kind) is probably one of my least favorite tropes (but it's definitely a me problem, and not a problem of the book)

Still my favorite erotica author. Their stories are always so original and different from one another
