In Every Universe by Hannah Henry
4.5
Best-friends-to-lovers in a hockey setting is probably my favorite trope, and this book didn't disappoint. There was so much pining, so much sadness, but I did believe the two MCs were destined for each other in every universe. As always, Hannah Henry excels in two parts of her story: a bi-awakening which feels "simple" and real, and creating a "world-of-two" story. There are side characters, but the two MCs spend so much time together, and so much time thinking about each other, that everything else doesn't matter. I still find the story a bit sad even with its HEA, and that's the reason why I didn't give it 5 stars.
I received a copy of this book from the author, and this is my honest review.

The Night Of by Tal Bauer

I prefer Tal's contemporary romances to his romantic suspense novels, but I've been finding it so difficult to read lately and this book was such a breath of fresh air

I'm not sure why, but it was making me anxious. Stories with ghosts/undead people are not for me
Cosmic Husband by Mars Quinn

This was EXACTLY what I wanted when reading an alien x human romance. Miscommunication which is well done, without ending up doing dubcon. Kudos to the author!
How to Howl at the Moon by Eli Easton

This story was sooo peculiar. Something that I find really interesting about MM romances from a decade ago is that they don't conform to genre expectations. The plot of this book was like that. Also, it aged well.
A Totally Platonic Thing by Eliot Grayson

I love oblivious best-friends-to-lovers (even more when there's a bi-awakening) and this book delivered on that front (the pining!! the fact that they watch porn together and pine!! ). So the first 50% was a 5 stars to me. But then the miscommunication became too much: it was absolutely realistic, but it was draining

I didn't understand this was mpreg. For me, there's nothing more triggering than mpreg in an alien x human scenario, where the human doesn't know it's even possible... so DNF 20% in
