I restarted this one so many times and couldn’t get through the first 2 chapters. I’m so glad I just bit the bullet and got it on Audible (I recommend) and powered through. MMC is funny with his dilemma and MFC is bold and keeps him on her toes.

I honestly don’t know how to rate this or how to even process what I just read. This may be the most deprived thing I’ve ever read. I think I hate it just as much as I am intrigued. Just assume every content warning you can think of and even ones you’ve never dared to imagine.

There are a lot of BookTokers who say dark romance is just romanticizing abuse, rape, and toxic relationships. I disagree with them 99% of the time. This book falls in the 1% . 
The MMC is a villain the entire time. No redemption. He forces the MFC to either accept his nice side or suffer his dark side and that is not love. This rings way too true to reality’s abusive relationships where he buys lofty presents after he punishes you so you forgive him. 

This is not a romance. This is closer to a horror novel than most I’ve read.
