Dinosaur Summer by Greg Bear

A good yarn.
As it is written to follow Lost World the writing seems a bit archaic and older than what one would expect in new books, and it is perfect for this book.
The blood/gore was low as would be expected for a book imitating the time.
Some what predictable, again something based of the era it is aping.

Great book.
He did a great job of integrating the heroes with events of the time.
I would love to see him do a series of this book
Either introducing the other heroes or a decade book
One book per decade each one their own origin story.
I found it a bit humorous how many times he compared Batman to James Bond.

I have hardly read anything of the Spiderman Series since he came out and then got Aunt May shot.
I thought I would hate it, but I am pleasently surprised.
Peter Parker is no longer a photographer but using his intelligence for once.
I was confused with some of the characters and who they were.
When did Brock become Anti-venom
When did they get a new Madam Spider
Who is that teaching Spider Man karate, oh and the ultimate universe did it first.
Still I loved it
A show down between the Spider Queen and a kick-ass Venom with Captain America along.
Kaine back and he isn't just a disfigured freak the whole story.
The Jackal using Clones but no Clone saga.

Exhalation: That one blew my mind. I spent days trying to think of ways to fix the robot dilemma.
I actually finished all the stories in this collection and only found one or two that left me wondering WTF?
That is a pretty good ratio for modern stories.

Great start of the series.
Each book of the volume starts with some information about one of the new heroes.
I loved Finesse, the one "non-powered" individual.
I small ding in that they mention that Reptile and Tigra have history but it wasn't until I read the profiles at the very end of the volume that it tells me where to find that. When did the comics stop putting the editor notes in it.
Reptile was a pretty great character for someone that started out as an annoying comedy relief on the Marvel Superheros cartoon.

A great sequel to the first book.
The part that stayed with me most was how little Gretta regards human life.
She talked a girl in to suicide, so that the girl would be autopsied and then her brain preserved, so that Gretta could take the girls brain in a jar with her as she went into jail. 20 years later she is ready to leave and uses the jar, with the brain only important in that she knew it would not get thrown away, until she did it so she could use the jar to give a guard liquor.

Great ending to the story.
I wasn't sure I would like it at first.
Alternate realities, as if superhumans and warlocks were not enough!
But Tregillis pulls it off.

I hate the series ending.
But oh what an ending.
Is evil thwarted?
Does Bode get his body back?
Read to find out, but expect deaths, lots of deaths, some which even made me feel sad.

End of the series.
I hate to see a series end, but it is good when an author does it before they get to the point where there is nothing left to say.
Great overall series and I loved the future vision of how Alternate Media could be used.
Sort of suspected the shocker that they threw into the middle of the book, as to how to prove her identity when she came back from the dead...

Superheroes vs Zombies.
Everyone wins.
Third book of the series and a very great story.
It was nice to see that things planted in the second story grew here into a full fledged plotline.
