Perfect read for me during Halloween - I'm too scared of actual horror stories but still wanted something spooky. Solid read with an interesting take on the concept of ghosts. Unfortunately, the writing just wasn't for me, so I couldn't "fall into" the story as much. Either way - I still enjoyed my time.

Interesting take on minimalism - I enjoyed the comment pages on Afroamerican culture! Generally a solid guide, but unfortunately there were very few new things for me to learn. I wish the book went into more detail about the psychology of consumerism and money habits rooted in childhood since that part interested me the most. Sometimes the author quotes herself, which was VERY weird - but nonetheless, you can feel that she put her heart into writing this book. Great for minimalism beginners!

Absolute banger, I had so much fun!

Who knew GILDEROY LOCKHART would be my new favourite character - how DARE this man be so entertaining?! I spit out my tea laughing twice - the jawdropping AUDACITY of this fucking legend... The movie didn't do him justice.

Yeeeees! The last time I read this book was when I was a child - I was nervous it wouldn't hold up if I read it again but I was WRONG this was so so GOOD AAAAHHHH! I'm beyond impressed with the writing style and the pacing of this book, I couldn't put it down. The story is carefully structured and curated, nothing is obsolete or unimportant and the events weave together perfectly in the end. I'm in love and can't wait to pick up the second one.

This was so hard to read but I'm glad I made it to the end. I didn't expect the depiction of abuse and pedophilia to be so intense but I'm glad it was. This book feels so important - it deserves all the hype it has.

The perfect book if you want a "cozy mystery". And the best thing: short chapters!

Unlike anything I've ever read before! Beautiful art style, lovable characters, a good amount of mystery and breathtaking world building. Started a bit slow, but that second half of the book- uuuuuuh it got me!

This book is a HUGE sausage party. Where them girls at? I'm sorry, Saphira doesn't count - the ladies either unimportant oh-so-hot side characters, georgeously unconscious damsels in distress or an old witch.

Apart from a unnecessarily long plot with so many things that lead absolutely nowhere and a far-too-flawless protagonist - this was surprisingly entertaining and a page turner. Written by a horny teenage boy dreaming about adventures for horny teenage boys dreaming about adventures.
