A satisfying sequel! Love the blend of mythology, magic, horticulture. Both books were great and a unique way to tell a coming of age story! The lore is immersive and creative!

Initial reflection:
Really enjoyed this story and writing overall! The plot was intriguing and I liked the pacing. I enjoyed the characters and would have been fine getting even more details on the side characters. The narration was really good.

I wil continue to read this manga as well as watch the anime. It was fun and funny. Love the world building
about monsters in dungeons and how they are used for survival.

Really enjoyed the recipe pages with the sketches and energy/nutrient breakdown. It added a cool layer to the manga.

Definitely one of my longer reads for the year but well worth it! Will continue the trilogy. Lee writes wonderfully!

Initial reflection:
A great collection of stories from the disabled prospective! This collection truly centers disabled voices and has a diverse representation of story tellers. It’s just a starting point to bribing disability justice into your liberation and social justice ideologies.

Initial Reflection:

I love the way Kimmerer always makes me think about the world around me differently. She is so intentional in her language and so giving with her voice.

I already read Braiding Sweetgrass, and this next book was the perfect little slice of her overacting messaging about reciprocity, citizens of the land and earthly gifts.

A quick read for those who want to dip their toes into the interplay of Indigenous knowledge and teachings and ecology and community.
