As a queer fat neurodivergent Kentucky girl who loves ttrpg and fell in love with a woman of color who has always made things make infinitely more sense than I think they should and never stops looking out for me, I am the exact key target audience for this book. Which is probably why it's a five star read.
My ONE bone to pick is that we don't get to know very much about Aini, her life, her family, and Her - but that makes sense since the story is focused on Hollis. Still fucking fantastic.
