There were times that the story felt all over the place a little bit. But it made up for that with the way that the characters interacted with and helped each other grow. I also enjoyed the random sidenotes/newsletters from the deceased character in the book. Those moments made the character feel like a real person instead of a fictional character.

Historical fiction is something that I enjoy reading frequently and this fit right in. Especially since history was a subject that I enjoyed learning in school and is still something that I enjoy today. With this story, I learned about a part of WW II history that I hadn't really heard much about. While the characters are fictional, I liked that the underground library and the shelter it was in were real.

While I enjoy books with multiple pov's, some of the ones in those book felt a little all over the place and loke I got a little bit of whiplash. Though it was interesting to see how everything connected and worked together in the end. It is something that I would consider reading again.

While the cover seems a little chaotic to me and isn't my taste, I'm not sure what initially made me pick it up to read. Although I find multiple pov's to be a little overwhelming at times, the three pov's in this story flowed and worked well together. It felt very cohesive and I liked how all over the characters were still intertwined into the pov's that weren't their own. The ending worked well with how it wrapped up each of the pov's. While it's not really a favorite, it is something that I would read again.
