Sounded like an interesting concept, but the pacing was all over the place and I couldn't keep my interest.

I wanted to enjoy this more than I did, which made giving it a rating difficult.
The reason for the breakup really disappointed me and led me to think, "Oh, what a letdown." Additionally, the overall third-act-breakup-ness of it all just didn’t resonate with me.
Ultimately, this wasn’t for me.

I'm quickly realizing that books described as "cozy" don't do a whole lot for me in my current season. It was cute and the ending was nice but I found myself bored and spacing out often. (Def a me problem) So I need to research that a bit more when I pick up books BUT if you want a cozy, cute overcome your traumas story.. You might love this.

Queer love. Therapy. Musically inclined bisexuals. Childhood friends to lovers to... Not.. To lovers?
Loved. Ashley Herring Blake can do no wrong when she gives me bi babes.

Good Gothic vibes. A play off Cinderella with a Victorian Gothic twist. The ending was a bit abrupt and the epilogue didn't add much.

Uninterested. Lots of seemingly random hate. The indigenous peoples are the “bad guys” and it was marketed as Sapphic until shortly before release and it’s not even close to sapphic. There’s one sapphic kiss and some pining (felt one sided) and the girls both end up completely dependent on men so that’s not fun.
