Uggggh this is my second attempt to get through this book lol I DNFd a few months ago at about 30 minutes into it and figured I’d give it a go again today. Nope, I can’t do it lol

It’s highly rated and apparently is on a lot of big lists with so much praise but omg the FMC is just so boring and annoying and everything is solely from her warped and sad pov.

The unnamed main character is obsessed with following the man she’s hooking up with on & offs actual partner. She basically cyber stalks the guys wife and pines over how badly she wants to be just like her and how she believes they’d be friends irl if they ever met. She also has a bf who she hates and who clearly hates her back. It’s just all pitiful and I keep saying “really… this is what we’re doing?”

The thought of a WOC obsessing and centering a yt woman in her life is not relatable for me. The feeling of being in competition with another woman is not relatable to me. The feeling of wanting someone else’s life is so not relatable for me 😂😂😂 I feel like the tiktok audio “YOU SO WEAK IN THE KNEES!! STAND UP” like girl get a grip and get a life!!

This is on a lot of “unhinged girl” books. This is t unhinged this is pick me behavior and self loathing lol and the random diatribes she’ll go on critiquing the culture, gov, social media, etc all fall flat!!

I tried. I’m tired 💀💀
