On Fire: The Case for the Green New Deal by Naomi Klein

This book is not one long argument for the green new deal but a series of essays and talks the author has written or given at different talks. That’s is not a critic but if you are expecting a compelling and complete argument for TGD then this is not that. The chapters are strung together and do connect but it is not a complete, cohesive argument for exactly what TGD is, what it says, and why we need it.

This book is fine. There’s not really any tension between the characters that isn’t kind of dumb.
I know Charles is not really an author writing for my tastes and I got her funny nod to gothic novels but I couldn’t help but think damn if only this was a gothic novel with a horrendously long list of content warnings.

This book was interesting! However the narrator read e.g., as e g instead of for example so that should have been corrected.
