...all imma say is I hated that I started my year with this book LOL. Such a bore truly. Romance was just not there- then to make it worse this just felt like a Wattpad book that accidentally got published to early. I'm not a big fan of romance that automatically blooms, and that's what this felt like. :/

Old review from last year:

Tilly, who is Mac’s sister from Blindsided, has a dark past and at one point was in relations with Santiago five years ago. They end up falling in love again- it was a pretty straightforward and predictable book, but enjoyable nonetheless.

I’m not sure why this took me 5 days to read, in a bit of a reading slump I’m guessing and just decided not to read a few days in a row. This was pretty bland now that I finished reading it a few minutes ago, but it was okay for the most part. Tilly was just really hard to relate to, and her backstory felt a bit rushed and eh. Santiago had a big deep secret, and I’m not trying to tear down his trauma, but he was being a bit extra about it. He really could have been more upfront about it and skipped all the drama, but hey thats just me.

Fine. Eh. Very ‘mid’ book. Think I just wanted to read something normal because fantasy books back to back can be a LOT. At first I gave it five stars, but i bumped it down to three because its so easily forgetable and kind of dry.
