Loved this one!!! Learned so much more about Zuko and Azula. I found the mystery adventure to be really beautiful to read as well as enjoy the illustration! Would read again! 🥹💛✨
Solid read! I enjoyed it, but it didn’t grip me as much as TLOK’s continuation did and probably because I’m not the middle grade audience. The main themes here though were still very relevant even today, and I enjoyed seeing how things played out. Will continue to the next installments!
I found I did enjoy this one more than the first one, but it still wasn’t without flaws.
The beginning was very intriguing and so was the end but the middle (much like end in the first book) felt kinda all over the place in pacing. It just kinda flew us in different directions but nothing stuck and I was just waiting for the end to help me and the character arch’s find their footing.
That all being said, the story definitely hit deeper and with more maturity and I enjoyed the darker turns into the characters arch’s and choices.
Overall, I would recommend these books if you love this world and I hope to be able to read further! ✨
I found this book and story to give such an intriguing and unique view to the typical avatar stories we know and love. The story was amazing, but I did take one star off for moments where action scenes were hard to follow and the weird dips and slows in the narrative… but overall, I loved it and am excited to read more of Kyoshi’s story!
There were some poems in here that hit me so deep or made me laugh, but also others that frustrated me, got me uncomfortable, or made me really think. Poetry is meant to do all of these things so if you want a book that really picks apart things as simple as cutting a vegetable on a cutting board to what it means to be alive or not, then I think this is for you.
I will definitely be revisiting some of the poems in here as the more spiritual ones hit home. I personally found Aonghus and Spiders to be my favorites!
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

Been wanting to read this book for awhile now and finally got by the chance! I absolutely loved this book in that it showed such a real portrayal of queer and trans students! Not only that but also all the main characters felt really fleshed out and not just hollow husks.
I also thought it was a great story in that it showed that there is transphobia and other phobias even within the lgbtqia+ community and how we all need to check ourselves sometimes.
Beautiful story that truly gives people hopeful progressive support from within a book. Loved it! 🌈🥰✨
I have never read a book with writing so delicious and poetic!! It’s threw me of guard at first and I was lost for a minute, but no less intrigued!
These two pulled at my heart strings, challenged the pawn nature of wars and what they are really for, and more importantly what lies outside of them. Beautiful beautiful beautiful!!
I will definitely be recommending to those interested in such a poetic and honest perspective of love, time, war, and what it means to live beyond oneself. Can’t wait to revisit in a few years! 🥰
