Playing the Part. Jen Turano is one of my favorite authors and I have been anxiously awaiting the third book in her series A Class of Her Own. Playing the Part did not disappoint as I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Playing the Part is part romance, part mystery, part adventure and filled with comic moments. I laughed out loud throughout the book. Playing The Part has rich interesting characters who were extremely fun to read about. Lucretta Plum, the main character, is a lovable character. I imagine her being someone whose hair is never out place even in the most crazy of situations which there were many in this book. In Playing the Part we learn more of Lucretta and her interesting past. I felt like I was learning more about a friend I had only known on the surface from the other books in this series.

It is the third in the Class of Her Own series, but you do not need to have read the first two books to enjoy it. I highly recommend Playing the Part.

I loved this book. Dru is the youngest of the Porter siblings and she is pure fun! I was thrilled to read her story. Her story has adventure, love, passion, fun, and heart. The characters have depth and struggle with real issues. It was a joy to read!!

Close as Breath by Callie Grant is a beautiful book. This book delighted me and my children. The book is based on Romans 1:20 dealing with creation and God's invisible qualities. A little girl asks her father in beautiful pictures about the air, changing leaves, and how water freezes. The father kindly answers and points her to her Heavenly Father. I love how Close as Breath and other books help to open up good conversations with your children about God. This one uses creation to point our children to their awesome Creator. I highly recommend it.

To Have and to Hold: Three Autumn Love Stories (A Year of Weddings Novella)
LOVE!! What a wonderful read. I just finished all three stories and enjoyed each one. I am not sure I could choose my favorite even if pressed. Here are my highlights!

The first one Love Takes the Cake: A September Wedding Story by Betsy St. Amant is a story about a single mom who is a baker. She is looking for a steady "boring" man and ends up finding someone a little different.
The Perfect Arrangement: An October Wedding Story by Katie Ganshert. This sweet story alternates between the couples e-mail exchanges and the main character Amelia's world at her flower shop. With a few twists and turns this story held my attention till the end.

Love in the Details: A November Wedding Story by Becky Wade. Loved this story about Holly and Josh who were high school sweethearts who run into each other years later. Holly and Josh walk through misunderstandings, forgiveness, and have a chance to build a new future. I was rooting for them the entire story.

Three wonderful stories that you will want to read and revisit, and a great way to usher in Fall. I highly recommend this book.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher.
