A disappointing miss for me. Everything that was wonderful about the other books became the opposite for this. Previously   we had a really delicious pace, lots of little side plots and info, very thought provoking and great to discuss. For this however, it was a total slog, too many loose ends that probably could've been edited out and reads as though it's trying too hard to be clever. Man, this sucks.

Lovely and witty, but on the longer more slow paced side for me. It was nice, but not amazing.

A very fun and clever addition onto the Delirium trilogy, I have always loved the authors ability to represent propoganda and misinformation

There was little mystery and I felt like certain reveals were poorly timed. I didn't enjoy the pacing, although all other elements I did want to appreciate (vampires, lgbtq, dark academia? Love it). Overall, the writing style didn't do it for me despite wanting to love this book.

Beneath the shock value horror there is an interesting and tragic story about two queer people connected by transphobia and it's violent implications on queer youth.

I want to appreciate it more because I see what this extreme satire is getting at in terms of the rise of transphobia and modern Britain etc, but it's just too disgusting for me to actually rate highly.
The message is not a complex one and is, for me, one that takes too long to get to and overly filled out with disgusting and extreme body horror and fetishes.
Much of the horror felt more for shock value, not that all horror has to have some deep meaning, but this really could have done with more layers.

Good god, that is a wild ride that was near on impossible to put down. It reminds me of some other whodunit's I've read but this, dare I say, may have topped them all. Witty and violent, hands down an amazing book.
