I don’t love the way the autistic side character is talked about in this series. It’s not awful, but there is something about it that bugs me. Did love the mini mystery in this one and the solve. And
loved the vows in the surprise wedding
too!

I liked the volcano storyline, and the characters generally. I disliked some of the descriptive choices, especially the seemingly negative way the MC compares her features to other characters near the beginning of the book.

I’ve never read (or watched) The Secret Garden so I dunno how this compares. But! I found this one interesting and engaging.  The last part really had me stressed! But I did like the ending.

I did not really understand the choice to swap between art styles and personally preferred one of them. Plus it felt like there were some loose ends /bits that needed more explanation.
