i think my journey with this series ends here.

i liked charlie and moth together. they tie as my fav in the series with wyn and danny.

i think the author has formula in this series that has not been broken once. sure the characters change but down to the smut there is a formula. i’ve had my fill at this point.

the first book was the only one that the hurdles i felt like were real. this whole kidnapping thing since book two is getting old. i want more military stuff and politics but i don’t think i’ll get it.

i don’t like lilac and. don’t know samson(i dnfed gloam). cat is being annoying and the cult stuff has wrapped up imo so yeah nothing i care about left for me explore.

this is so similiar to the romance in the third book. it’s v insta and rig is not interesting character to follow. he was in the third. not so much now. 

i really hope the next book isn’t like that. moth seems like an interesting character and i like charlie.

i’ve been reading this series for the romance. other than the first book none of other happenings were interesting. well i found the second one to be okay. this and the third? yawn. it’s like the more complex it gets with the kidnapping and cults and group dynamics the less interesting it is. the first book was straight forward. that’s why it worked i think. 

in the first book i like danny and wyn. in the second book i liked edin and thought hunter was okay. i think both aury and ghost are so meh. the plot in general meh. i checked out summary to help see if i’ll like it. i don’t. wun and edin being monster outside but not inside is what made them great. aury apparently can’t control it and is passive otherwise with personality. also ghost gel in live in a week which was like huh? all this for a stranger? i can’t.

i’ll cont bec i like rigs. also i want to get away from the raiders a bit.

this cute but not as cute as the first one. it was also not as interesting. i think the military stuff was better than saving charlie. i did enjoy it though. i also had to skip some of the smut bec it was getting repetitive.

for guy in his thirties hunter was v childish. i wish he had more depth to him. edin was a huge dom teddy bear which i liked.

i’ve seen some review say the water tubes working and stuff is unrealistic but i don’t care. stinky smut is gross and thank god for the water.

this was cute and v monster smutty. i wish we had seen them interact more through their travels instead of getting summaries of it through thought. i would’ve taken three less sex scenes for that. the smut was fascinating and creepy to read esp with the unique anatomy. i also wish it explained if wyns clothes were part of his body or not since he never changes and a bit more about him in general as soul eater.

i had fun and i really like edin so i’m def reading his book.

this push and pull between niko and vasili is not fun. being mastermind planning things is cool and all but the vasilli goes about is not. every time feels like betrayal. it doesn’t feel like he was being smart but hurtful. i’m over it. i’ll try another series by this author.

so… the romance in the first book felt like it was going to take its time. it didn’t. the thing that’s happening right now

feel unreal? like i can keep going and hope it gets better at this point. i was hoping for more. i will say i do enjoy the other characters. if they had books i would’ve read them.

i like the characters. i like whatever is building between the prince and niko. i like political stuff. julian though…… he was not done well. v rushed!

julian and niko felt so fake that i truly could not feel his heart ache. if that was done better this would have been a better book.

other that i enjoyed it.

there was truly no need for the first story if jord wasn’t getting a happy ending. i wanted to see him happy not to back and see him be tricked.

the last stories were m fav. the one about summer palace was basically hook up and brief non verbal conversation. if epilogue it would’ve been great but it wasn’t so meh.

sometimes things are handed to characters and sometimes like in this book they rarely are. the writing was so bad that it was hard to follow the twist and turns of the politics. when thing we’re finally working out it took me a minute to realize bec of the writing. anyway i enjoyed this despite all the problematic stuff and bad writing. it really is unfortunately for this actually slow burn series to be so confusingly written.
