This one some moments of brilliance but most of it was boring, slow, contrived and too much filler.

I skipped to the end after 50%.
I hate when great writers change their writing to conform to what's popular in the industry.
This is another thriller like the thousands of others with female MCs. Dark and depressing and no real mystery.
Very disappointing compared to the other two books in the series.

The synopsis of the book suggested to me that it woul  be sort of a slow burn or at least a bit of a build up to love but everything was too inst they were just not open to each other about it. The  marriage took longer to happen than expected considering the premise of it being the focal point of the conflict.
The writing is strong, I wish the delivery was too.

Did not finish book.
I tried the audiobook. The book has too many characters, uses every tense-yes including second person-, it's simply too confusing.

The writing is good as usual for Michael Robotham but man his early work like this has too much gratuitous racism, unnecessary use of the N word, all the black people ugly, the black women are fat and unfriendly.
I am glad this is not the first book from him that I have read.
