I love his writing style, but this felt like a bunch of stories that were written for magazines, pieced together for a book. It wasn't bad, but just kind of wandering.

What a feel-good little story! King seems to always have people who can't stand his books that aren't horror, and so reading the reviews, I didn't really know what to expect. I got what I needed. This novella is a story about a man that is losing weight. Not because of working out or being on a diet, he's just losing it. But he doesn't look like it. And eating or holding heavy things while weighing himself isn't affecting his results. He's also in a bit of a tiff with the neighbors. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good little story by a great author.

Not my favorite HCC book that I've read. Pretty predictable, but an easy read. It was enjoyable.

That was a heavy read! I love books set around Mark Twain's creations. This one, centered around Jim, was fabulous. Heavy, dark, and hopeful.

I don't think I've ever not liked a Steinbeck novel. This was perfect for the road trip move across the US.
