I can’t describe how much I love this book. Every page, every SENTENCE is pure gold to read. Never read anything like it, I could recommend it to anyone.

At first I thought it very slow and also perhaps worse than I had expected it to be after seeing the movie and the musical. But now after I’ve finished it I can without a doubt say that I have not read a book this great in years. In one night I finished the ending because I could not tear myself away from it.

I didn’t know the movie was based on a book at first, so I am very glad that I happened to find it in my schools library. Though this is a book for children- I would recommend this to everyone. It’s wonderful!

Found this lying in my dads library- and it really wasn’t what I expected it to be. There isn’t much in the story dedicated to the actual ghost ship, sadly. If it had I probably would’ve liked it more.

Wouldn’t recommend reading it for the sole fact that it has aged terribly in a lot of ways- perhaps especially in its racist views.

Bought books 1-3 in a flea market, and they are so bad it’s hilarious. I am very happy I found them haha

I both LOVED and HATED this book. It's so good and well written I just couldn’t handle all the embarrassing situations she managed to get herself into, which is why it took me MONTHS to read through. I definitely don’t want to read it again..but I also want to recommend it to everyone I know? It’s a difficult situation.

Due to the somewhat depressing atmosphere of this book  it took me a good while to read through it. It was one of those books where, while I didn’t want to read it most of the time, afterwards I think that I gained something from doing it.

I was not prepared to love this book as much as I did. It felt almost as if I was reading Harry Potter for the first time again, and honestly that’s sort of the highest rating a book can get from me haha
