Squire by Sara Alfageeh, Nadia Shammas
4.5
Well-drawn art with a solid story about colonisation although I felt the resolution was a bit too easy. I wish it was that simple to unlearn propaganda.
The Kamogawa Food Detectives by Hisashi Kashiwai

Ngl I went into this expecting a crime mystery, but it's what it says in the title, it's food mysteries. The actual solving is never show but explained afterwards. It was a lighthearted read that speaks about the impact of food and different memories and feelings certain dishes can bring up. I did enjoy it for what is was but it was nothing earthshattering.
