I wanted so badly to enjoy this. I'm 100 pages in and absolutely nothing has happened. We just keep going in circles and it's SO PAINFULLY BORING. I've heard people say this one is fun but confusing and I don't see how someone could say its confusing when there's absolutely nothing happening. I'm putting this one on the back burner, although I doubt I'll be coming back to it..

I don't normally choose love stories but this is not your average romance and I would recommend it a million times over again. It is so beautifully written. It's not only a love story between a man and a woman, but between Haiti and its people, between friends and strangers, an old man and a young man who find strength in each other. This book truly conveys what it means to love your neighbor, how true love is supposed to be, how to persevere amid the worst of circumstances, and so much more. READ THIS BOOK!!!

Short, tragic, and sweet. What a great message and the artwork is precious.

I actually really enjoyed this. The vibe is the exact one I get when reading the actual Fall of the House of Usher. Very pleased with that. I would have given it 5 stars but the unnecessary pronoun talk really takes away from the story. It has nothing whatsoever to do with what is going on.
I liked all the characters and I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

Not my favorite Palahniuk read, but still a good one. I loath every single character, except Angel. Love all the random art facts.

This was a good one. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Subject matter is a little disturbing but still a good read. I loved th main characters and the way it ended. I cried a little and gasped a lot! It has a nice little twist at the end. Would like to see the charactera again.

Complete waste of time. Nothing ever really happens. It's described as creepy, space horror and there is absolutely nothing creepy or scary about it. Booooo.
