enjoyable once it picked up, but that took too long for me. i really liked nassun's chapters throughout but essun's were really only interesting in the back 1/3 or so

i was really looking forward to this, but all the issues i had with the second book pretty much showed up here too. the book only really picked up in the last 150 pages and while the buildup was interesting, it did feel a bit slow and repetitive at times. after where we left off in book 2, i thought that the resolution to the priyamalini conflict was wrapped up a bit too cleanly. i also didn't love how ahiranya's liberation was treated, once again, it felt like it wrapped up too quickly considering the buildup of the last two books. that being said, i thought the ending was nice and i did really enjoy the exploration of religion as i did in the rest of the series.
