It wasn't as horrible as everyone said.  This is my first Anna Huang book that I didn't DNF.
I did enjoy the story, it has a slow beginning and slow end but it's was a nice, softer dark romance. (Does that make sense?)
Anyway, once Vivian and Dante were actually attempting to be a couple the banter! The jokes!! Omg loved it. Dante groveling and courting *chefs kiss*
Dark, quite brooding MMC with a quick witty fierce FMC who are both stubborn, hot, and funny when they want to be??? AAhh Sign me up 🫰🏾✨️

That being said... I do have one negative thing about the lovely Anna.
She's SUPER repetitive. There is so much telling of emotions and thoughts over and over rather than showing us or letting us infer. It could have been 50-100 pages shorter without the constant inner monologuing.
I feel like she killed her own banter with it.
The moments that didn't have  monologuing I was kicking my little feet and in shocked with how these characters were just vibing

Lets see if KO Pride is better bc I will be continuing

First off: Read the trigger warnings! She's not joking!
🫢🙃🙃
This audiobook was amazing! I think this was my first duet audiobook and I'm obsessed!
If you've read The Mindfck series by Stabby (C.M Owens) then you'll most likely like this!
Its witty, humorous, dark and sexy.

I genuinely laughed out loud so many times.

Two 🥣killers meet and have an instant connection but can't find a normal way to idk date? So they come up with a yearly event, Who can kill another killer first.

He's obsessed, she's closed off but wants to be love.
Fast paced and very episodic with a small plot woven in.

If you want to see where Elsie started, this is it. I haven't read anything else by her however from what I've heard she writes cute, charming romances with spice and tension and this delivers.

TBH I didn't love Billie, she would create conflict in her own head and then take it out on others. Vaugh however, AHH he was a cocky, rude ass who dead ass saw Billie as a challenge and then fell in love.

Do I need to add a summary?

Good Game did what I needed it to do!!
Spice ✅️ 🌶
Hot guys ✅️🥵
Strong FMC (finding her strength) ✅️💝
Friend Banter ✅️😂
Flirting to the max✅️🥰

I am disappointed in the last 15% (iykyk) however I understand... I just don't like it.
If you've watched Madisons content and you like it- You'll love this book. It was perfect and saved me from a reading slump.

I think I'll save Forbidden Game until Fake Game is announced. While I love Parker I'm most excited for Jacksons story!
