An interesting take on an often over romanticised event and character.

A beautiful book. I don’t think i’ve ever rooted for two characters as much as Banjo and Finlay.

A fun book if you are a fan of the show. Was almost like a YA prequel to the show. Mulder’s little pal was a humorous addition to the normal x-files recipe of a duo. Feel like it didn’t really wrap up the mystery fully but this happens in the show all the time, but it feels more frustrating in a book as it’s longer than a 45 minute episode.

Not really my kind of thing but gave it a go as it seemed to be popular at the minute. Found it quite slow and dull. Not a lot seemed to be happening for a lot of it and normally I like that if I can connect with characters but i struggled to really connect or feel anything for any of the characters.

Dry and could have been wrapped up in about 100 less pages. Felt like author was telling the reader virtually the same things over and over.

A good read, similarly twisted, perverse but humorous as Welsh’s other works. Ending very predictable, some parts of the book unnecessarily dragged out.
