ok the book wasnt bad, but it wasnt amazing either, i would say it was a pretty good book i read it pretty fucking quickly (in 2 days). it was interesting enough for me to binge read it in less than a week (btw i read it as an ebook). a few things that didn’t sit well with me would be how copeland treated penn like shit in the very beginning and how penn was acting so obvious with his crush on cope, that it made me cringe so bad with second hand embarrassment. other than that i enjoyed reading it.

it felt too much a wattpad story (never in a good way).

she had this mentality of “i can fix him” and it got annoying really fucking quickly. he was a piece of shit with so many issues that could’ve been resolved had he actually let himself feel his emotions instead of bottling them up (therapy could benefit him greatly).

they didn’t work well together, at all. there were so many red flags when it came to him but she didn’t see any of them (or if she did she chose to ignore them). granted they weren’t actually together, it was mostly a fwb situation but he was VERY VERY clear that they weren’t together and he wasn’t looking for anything more than what they had. she chose to ignore everything he said and was wanting more than what they had.

she was a really good job but that wasn’t really mentioned, it was mostly there just to tell us she had a job, to show she wasn’t totally hopeless by pining over a boy while being unemployed. really wished we could’ve seen more of her that didn’t revolve around what’s his face.

yes there were some touching moments, some heartbreaking moments but i feel like all the bad things in this book outweigh the very few good things that were there. she should’ve ran the moment she noticed the vey hint of a red flag.

it’s not a horrible book but it wasn’t an life changing book either

this book was more of a pallet cleanse for me, yes it was cute, yes it was a very fast paced read, yes it was interesting enough to make me binge read it.

i don’t hate the book but nor do i love this book either. i just really needed a break from what i was dealing with, from what i had been reading beforehand and this did exactly what i needed it to do.

them bickering is what really did it for me, i love when couples / friends bicker it’s so endearing to me. i loved the whole “i’m only nice to her” kind of thing that he had going on. they had their cute moments together i enjoyed that, had me cheesing i won’t lie, they can be cute. at times she was a bit cringe bc of her actions throughout the fake dating and she’s a shitty actor so i didn’t necessarily enjoy that, all in all it kinda it got on my nerves.

i really liked it despite it not being something i would normally read, there were some wtf moments like with the pilot and the plane in the beginning chapters. i admit it did take me a while to get into the book but i was completely transpired with it after the first few chapters

i understand what all the rave is about when it comes to percy jackson.

had i read this when i was much younger i feel like i could’ve loved this. it’s a good book, very predictable but again i’m not in the age rage for it.

it was very much action packed from the get go, i liked all the characters, the plot was pretty good and very fast paced.

i thought this cinderella story retell was done very well.

it’s interesting to see how the author has taken a story, both the original and the kid friendly one, and combined them to make their own twist to this.

the romance was really cute i did enjoy that, my heart hurt for the main character when it came to her first love interest but she’s found someone else so i’m glad she’s gotten her happy ending in that portion.

i loved how the story ended, how the kingdom was ruled by women, how they all came together to defeat the king. how they were going to convince what they thought was real was actually false.

the plot twist with the fairy godmother and the king really threw me for a loop, literally couldn’t have seen that coming , maybe if i payed more attention i could’ve seen the hints but i wouldn’t have come up with that twist.

what in the absolute fuck?? it was an okay book but only because i liked the fmc backstory and how her life (outside of romance) turned out. other than that i really didn’t like the long ass pining between both fmc and mmc, i thought it was annoying, cringy and hard to read, i had to stop reading this book for a few weeks before picking it up again. also the cheating and the mmc annoying ass is what i didn’t fuck with, he got on my nerves, so did she with her pining.

very cute and fast to read through.

not my favorite, even more so bc i’m not heavy on reading graphic novels but i wanted smth quick to end the year on.

i didn’t really like rose, she just felt kind of annoying, kind of meh. my dislike towards her kinda grew once she went OFF on her mom (who was clearly having a hard time in the moment, but i can understand from both their pov’s as to why they reacted the way they did).
didn’t really sit well with me how she slut shamed jenny and basically the entire town as well, kept making excuses for the way she acted and talked, even more so when it came to boys. didn’t really like how she acted toward windy, or how she treated her.

in the end they leave as friends so i’m guessing it’s all water under the bridge now.

ugh i loved this book, i loved everything about it 10/10 would 100000% recommend if you’re looking for a quick and easy queer romance book to read.
it has the perfect blend of actual plot along with romance alongside it. i loved the characters, especially delilah, ugh i hold her close and dear to my heart. i love her for who she is, i love her backstory and her growth as a person.
