dude this story had me on the edge of my seat, at first i wasn’t really into it until i got to the two women meeting, and oh my god i don’t regret picking this book. the plot twists had me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what happens next. i will say the main character was not my favorite but i feel like that is what made the story more enjoyable.

the characters pissed me off, a lot, even more so when they were much much older. but besides that it was a really good book, like the plot was great, it had me waiting to find out what happened next.

ok i’m ngl it took me forever to actually read this bc i read the reviews beforehand (which i regret bc i based my opinions on theirs before fully developing my own) and those comments steered me away from it.
official rating would be 4.5 / 5 stars, solely bc of the fact that there was too too tooooo much sex for my liking. i love them as a couple, how passionate they are and their chemistry that they share.
something i loved seeing was persephone grow as an individual and a goddess, towards the end it made me so proud of her for how far she’s come.
this book was great in my opinion, there was a lot of drama and action all throughout the story, it really picks up during the middle to the end of it.

scarlett st. claire is amazing when it comes to writing, by far i’m loving this series and both books have had me at the edge of my seat waiting anxiously to find out what’ll happen next. i will say, the plot twists were shocking and some moments made me hate characters (i got over it in the end). BUT THE FREAKING END??!!! uH IM SO GLAD I ORDERED THE THIRD BOOK EARLIER THIS WEEK BC IT WAS NEKSKALSOSK WHAT?!

i really loved this book, i think it was greatly written and really made me look through the eyes of those who have suffered. i will say i was not expecting the use of self harm throughout the beginning of the book but that’s on me for not looking at the trigger warnings.
i loved melinda’s growth as a person and the strength she has found in herself. my heart went out to her throughout the entire book.

omfg. woooowwww. the plot twist???? FUCKING CRAZY DUDE HOLY WOW I LOVED IT!!
honestly i really liked this book, it was amazing reading this, i won’t lie i did feel like it was slow when building up to the storyline but i felt like it was needed. the characters were a little annoying, *ahem alice* but i get why she was written like that, also along with what she was dealing with i don’t blame her for doing the things she did. but anyways fuck nathan <3

i really liked this book, so glad i saw a tiktok pop up with the TRIGGER WARNING FOR THIS BOOK. even then with the warnings it was still shocking to see / read what all charlie has been through.
it breaks my heart learning what she’s been through and why she is the way she is, and she’s just so dear to me because she overcame it. i’m so proud of her and it was amazing to see her grow over time.
i loved all the people who were there for her. this book was excellently written, especially with such a heavy topic, i think the author did a great job with showing the readers what it was like dealing with s3lf h4rm.

the one thing that i didn’t like was riley and charlie. i hated that he was 10 years older than her and still preyed and latched onto her, not only making shit worse for her but for him as well. they both just weren’t meant to be with one another, especially with her just getting a taste of the real world again. i did not like this relationship at all, he changes over time but he was a walking red flag from the beginning.
