Twisted Emotions by Cora Reilly (343 pages)
⭐⭐⭐⭐:
✯ Quick Description ✯
Complete strangers in an arranged marriage situation. They fall in love and heal together.

Nino and Kiara were such a great couple. Nino reminded me of Dante. They're both very so calm, logical and just emotionless. Their journey, healing together was just so beautiful. Nino's love for family is UNMATCHED! And Kiara! I love her character. She went through so much but remained so kind through it all, and has such a big heart. Did I say I love Kiara? I love Kiara!

Book 2 of The Hollow Boys series

⭐⭐⭐⭐.50:

I loved this book, but let's get into the review!

This not being a 5 for me is only due to the long narrations. They're not 3rd pov but for some reason I just could not get through it. I read them during the first few chapters then I was like "I can't. I will DNF this book if I continue like this" So I skimmed through the narration, pausing and scrolling through. It's a wonderful read. Well-written characters, no filler scenes or characters, great plot, perfect pace, overall great book!

Now onto the characters, let me tell you now: IF YOU HAVE NOT READ ANYTHING BY MONTY JAY YET, PLEASE DO SO, ASAP!!! Because the characters?!? Oh the smut?!? The angst?!? The chemistry and tension?!? Give MJ all the awards!!!! You get such developed characters. They're so real and raw, I love that!

✨Overall Thoughts and Ratings✨
⭐⭐⭐⭐:
I usually read series in order interconnected or not but I received this ARC so I was like why not. So my review will reflect me not knowing these characters that much because as it's book 4. There's an obvious character and plot set up that I missed. But I was able to understand the plot regardless.

So let's start with the pace. I liked it. It did not drag much.
Onto the plot itself, great plot. I'll definitely go back and read book 1 so I have a fuller understanding of the world building.
Now the characters, that was the only part I had issues with. I did not feel their chemistry/tension. They're hot, because they unalive together and "a couple that unalives together, stays together". I don't make the rules

Book 5 of the Perfectly Imperfect series

⭐⭐⭐⭐:
Here's my thing with mafia romances or just books with overall dark themes. The MMC claims to be this no nonsense, ruthless and lawless type of guy but then he feels guilty for being a "monster" like sir...we are not here for that. If I pick up a book and descriptions or teasers tell me he's morally grey or morally pitch black, I say go all out

✨Overall Thoughts and Ratings✨

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐:
This book is perfection! Why? Because by the end of it, I felt complete. The sky was blue, birds were chirping. I felt alive by the end of this book. Alright... enough fangirling, here's the review!
This book is very much for the fluff lovers. A very much appreciated palate cleanser for me especially. A good contemporary romance with guaranteed HEA. The characters within the story itself are all just so vivid. Like it's all so cute and wholesome. Their were some emotional moments and I loved those. Owen and Waverley are just so perfect together. I'm definitely going back to read book 1. I definitely recommend this book

This Book Ravaged Me!!!

✨Book Review✨
Prey Tell by Amanda Richardson (415 pages)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐:
Amanda Richardson gets it!!! I have been introduced to many of these themes like primal play, con non-con, breath play and a few more. Amanda Richardson, however, gets really descriptive with these scenes and I love it! There is something about the way she writes it. The MCs playing out these intense scenes is really connection based. There is a lot of communication in this like nothing as "unhinged" or "deranged" or "deviant". It was all we wanna try this, we both consent, let's get into it. And I liked that perspective more than the "unhinged" perspective.
One trope that I'll say is so well written is the brother's bestfriend trope. The entire book is very much perfect in my opinion with all other tropes included. Anyways, I fully recommend ❤️

Pretty much worth the hype in my opinion! Nate Hawkins is THE book boyfriend. There's none like him. Stassie was so annoying. I usually don't have issues with FMCs or at least try to see things from their pov but her... she just got on my nerves.

Nate proved himself so much and she allowed for so much to happen that is so not in her favor. I don't know, the character arcs for her just annoyed me. The author writes such epic male characters. Like JJ, Robbie and even that slime ball Aaron had some sort of personality and consistency to them but not Stassie.

This was originally a 3 stars but the smut got so good in that one chapter I had to bring it up
