The Whispers by Ashley Audrain

5.0

Told through different perspectives, women in each family are forced to face the secrets within their family. They’re all connected and all fighting their own battles. What happens when we put our own needs above our children? How many quiet sacrifices of motherhood must be made?

I enjoyed The Push so when @thick.thighs.thicker.reads put The Whispers on my radar I knew I had to get a copy. I ordered it in my BOTM box, but when I saw it on @PRHAudio I was thrilled. I couldn’t wait and started it immediately. Oh boy it was so good right from the start! I was hooked immediately. This was a solid domestic suspense whereas The Push was more of a thriller. The one thing that made this more up my alley compared to traditional domestic suspense was the pacing. Typically I find domestic suspense to be slower, where this one was fast and kept me on my toes. I loved the multiple points of view. I enjoyed all the characters. I think that this author knows how to write about the loss of things dearest to us and she does so in such a delicate and real way. It just gets me every time.

If you are looking for a beautifully written domestic suspense book, then I hope you check this one out. IF you want to snag it from BOTM and save some money, use the code in my linktree to get your first box for $5.

Thank you so much to @PRHAudio for this #gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.
