Again, but Better by Christine Riccio

Did not finish book. Stopped at 3%.
This is laughably bad…it’s so cringe 🙈 The pop culture references are forced and based on other reviews, they only get worse. I had to put the book down when I read “it’s a ‘Lost’ thing. ‘Lost’ is the best tv show of all time…I want people in the world to ask me about it, so I can spread the ‘Lost’ love to all the unknowing noobs.” 😂😂😂 IM SORRY WHAT IS THIS WRITING

I set it down to laugh for 5 minutes. Also a side character, who is plus sized, being named Babe and compared to the pig ‘Babe,’ is so lazy and weird.

based on other reviews, I know that I shouldn’t continue because it has too many things that annoy me. It has a cheating trope (where we are supposed to hate the person getting cheated on and root for the cheater? Boo). There’s a third act breakup that makes zero sense;pass. Finally, the FMC is not-like-other-girls-I’m-so-clumsy-but-it’s-cute; it’s overdone and I’m too old to be reading those types of characters. Maybe I would’ve liked this book in middle school but it’s a hard pass for me now. It sounded like a fun book but the writing style is not my taste, and considering what others have said I know I would end up disliking the book and there’s too many books I want to read to waste on this one.
