The Maid by Nita Prose
5.0
And I’m done. Wrecked. But In a good way. Five glorious stars and might be the best book for me in 2022.
I am so grateful my partner saw this book on Good Morning America and said “This might be right up your alley.” It is.
And I’m grateful I buddy read it with my friend Sarah Stanley. I can’t wait to discuss this thoroughly!!
Molly’s internal and external dialogue is delightful. Nita Prose has crafted a character that is lovable and unforgettable. Her current circumstances, combined with backstory, make this book a five star masterpiece. While it is funny and quirky, it is also extremely emotional, or at least it was for me, toward the end.
It may be in my top ten reads for the past decade or two. I’m not even exaggerating.
Read it. You’ll have no regrets.
And if it isn’t a movie adaptation, then someone has done something incredible wrong.
