The Good Daughter by Karin Slaughter

4.0

Great read with an engaging storyline. Sam & Charlie are 15 & 13 when masked gunmen come to their home to settle a vendetta with their father, the local defense attorney who takes all the horrible cases. When he's not home, their mother is shot and they run for their lives. 28 years later they are still recovering from their past despite their active avoidance of their trauma but are forced to come to terms when Charlie is involved in a school shooting.
