4 🌟BK Borison is one of the most hyped authors by one of my colleagues, and this book absolutely lived up to the praise. I’m a complete sucker for grumpy-sunshine romances, and this one delivers. If you are looking for a Nora Epheron-esque story, this is your next read!

The story follows Aiden Valentine, a love-focused radio show host, and Lucie Stone, a mechanic with not just a meddling daughter but also a meddling ex and his husband. Their dynamic is charming, and the bar scene was easily my favorite. The spice? Gave me everything I needed after watching them lust for each other. My safe-sex-loving brain buzzed with delight.

Switching between both POVs adds so much depth, and I especially loved Aiden’s healing journey. It made him a richer, more compelling love interest—hesitant yet deeply deserving of love. Lucie’s close-knit family dynamic, despite her and her ex not working out, was another highlight. Maya’s love for her mom is so pure and wholesome, and watching her genuinely want Lucie to find happiness in love was heartwarming. I also love the shift in romance books where exes can remain friends instead of always being painted as villains. (Not that I don’t love a little drama, but this felt refreshingly real.)

Overall, this was a 3.75–4 star read for me—a warm, cozy romance that made curling up this winter even better.
