This was a TON of fun, Butcher nails the character, and the quip page quite well.
Set in one of my favourite eras of Spider-Man where he's a married adult working as a part time science teacher, this nails both the big bombastic Spider battles with the more on the ground human levels of the character.
This was a surprise in terms of villains as this introduced characters whose ideas would be used in the Spiderverse comics. Unlike every other appearance of Morlun and his ilk, this story somehow makes them work in a way that is very fun to read. Good action with a ton of fun sciencey aspects to the duels.
Great fun.
