Foreign fiction #2 of 2023

Took me for hecking ever. My first book of short stories (except her body and other parties which I basically skimmed except for the ribbon one) as well as my first full Korean book, so I can’t tell which aspect fell short for me. A lot of the stories lacked any compelling characters or scenarios, and just felt generically sad. But my Korean isn’t quite up to snuff literarily, so that could factor in as well.
