World building was effortless and did not drag - thank you - with the light and beautifully woven pieces of history inter-mixed. Each character was rich and nuanced, all voices distinct and whole. Because of all these things and more the story of Zilan had me in its grip from the first page all the way to the end. I’m officially a KLB fan.
