Fortunate Son by Jay Crownover

5.0

I feel like I have been waiting for this book for 9 years, and it was everything I wanted it to be. If you loved Marked Men, you will undoubtedly love this.

I loved getting to learn about all the kids, not just Ry and Bowe. I am really hoping that we will get books for Remy, Daire and Zowen (and all the others of course).

I loved the pacing not only of the story, but of the relationship between Bowe and Ry. It felt realistic and ideal at the same time which is exactly what I want in a contemporary romance. The characters were quintessential Crownover. The writing took me back to the original Marked Men series and didn't feel like a different author's voice, which is a problem I have seen in a lot of second generation stories.

Overall, this is one I know I will read again. I am very, very hopeful that we will get more books because I have so many unanswered questions.
