I loved reading the Inheritance games and the puzzles were complex, but the reader could follow them and when the answer became clear you got it

This book is more of a start to a new series rather than continuing the original. This was the plus of the book, since all loose ends are tied up.in the previous novel.

The downside of this book is the addition of these new characters which all seem to be connected to the Hawthrones but some of it is never really made clear. I also missed Avery, Jameson, and Xander as they are cameo characters in this story. Grayson becomes a main character in an odd way.
