The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware
4.0
**CONTAINS SPOILERS**
My first Ruth Ware book and I was not disappointed… until the end! I listened to the audio and was immediately hooked.
But…
The story seriously dragged when Laura was held hostage in the hold. In addition, I found the whole ending rather unbelievable. And the owner killed himself? I would have believed that his girlfriend had shot him, but she’s dead too.
The more I thought about it, the more questions I have. If Laura’s disappearance is in the news, why don’t they just stop the ship and search it thoroughly? Why didn’t Lo’s boss or Judah have someone radio the ship? It just didn’t add up in the end.
(And this is being petty, but I hated the narrator’s voice and accent for Judah. Otherwise she was a great narrator.)
