Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier

5.0

"Hurt people always hurt people". The moment Calvin entered Geo's life, she would never be the same. Geo's best friend mysteriously disappeared when they were both 16 years old. Geo and Calvin both know the truth about what happened that night. When the town finds out the truth, the consequences are deadly.

This was one of those books that had me screaming Wow, wow, wow!". This book was actually phenomenal. The author did an amazing job building the suspense, adding in more and more plot twists and deeply developing the characters. As the story unfolded, I was consumed completely in the storyline. It is one of those books that make you forget the outside world and responsibilities.

The ending completely threw me for a loop. I thought I had it figured out until...major plot twists. The author sucks you in from the opening page and keeps you captivated until the final word. Jar of Hearts is the perfevt example of a psychological thriller. It left my mind blown and my mouth wide open. Thanks to Macmillan and Goodreads for the ARC and thw opportunity to provide an honest review.
