Pure magic. This was recommended to me after I LOVED His Majesty's Dragon by Naomi Novik and then was incredibly disappointed by Throne of Jade, the sequel. I had heard about this, obviously, on BookTube and bookstagram. But I'd never really felt a draw to pick it up. I am sooooo glad I did. This reads like a fairy tale, but with the most original storyline and all the tropes turned on their heads. Can't wait to pick up Spinning Silver, which I've heard is somehow even better???
