From Here to Eternity by A.L. Jackson

5.0

I should have known that the author would stick a mind-blowing twist somewhere in the story. O.M.G. When Charleigh Lowe first encountered River Tayte, she was getting a tattoo.

"In grief we must live."

River was twisted by the words, by Charleigh, by the feelings running through him that came from his encounter with her. And then his son Nolan needed a trip to the clinic and River sees Charleigh again. Charleigh is drawn to Nolan. Who wouldn't be? I wanted to crawl into the book and hang out with him. Charleigh's world became smaller then. River is her best friend Raven's brother. When Charleigh needs help, there's only one person she can trust...River. She doesn't divulge all her secrets, but River knows she's running from someone. There are secrets that he's keeping, too. But, there's no denying that River and Charleigh together make one formidable duo. When her past meets her present, there are surprises in store, and Oh My Goodness was it a shocker. Alternating between reading and listening was what really hooked me into River and Charleigh's story. Andi Arndt and Austin Stone gave stellar performances as the narrators. They embodied the characters and their personalities so well!

I can't wait to see what happens next in Moonlit Ridge!

I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.
