In the Lives of Puppets by TJ Klune
4.0
A Pinocchio retelling with a sci-fi/fantasy twist which is so wholesome and definitely worth your time
It has a strong focus on character relationships and considering only one of the characters is actually human it shows how well the robots are written with their sass and charm
It has a classic storytelling feel to it so expect an adventure and all the different feels along the way
There’s a few sex related jokes that really did not need to be included, some were on the ick side of things and did ruin the wholesome vibe of the book at times
The pacing was slightly off, the first part of the book is really engaging but it comes repetitive halfway through, it wraps it up nicely at the end though
The world is wonderful and I know everyone’s TBR is longer than a piece of string but it’s worth adding it to your list
