Simon Thorn and the Black Widow's Web by Aimée Carter

3.5

Bullet review:
+Yet another engaging story with a dangerous threat for Simon & co. to deal with.
+Orion does not appear, which I consider a positive because I think he's a boring villain. The villain we get in this book I found more engaging than him.
+The spiders are thankfully portrayed as the good guys and not villains, a rarity in fiction.
+Dev was a fun character.
-Nolan, Jam and Winter barely do anything this book. It's like the author almost forgets about them at some points. Which is sad considering they're a part of the main team.
-I didn't find the locations we went to in this book very engaging, similar to how I didn't vibe much with the ocean setting of the last book. The spy school was decently interesting but it didn't exactly wow me.
