The Natural Mother of the Child: A Memoir of Nonbinary Parenthood by Krys Malcolm Belc
4.0
I think I love memoirs now... lol. I really enjoyed this story of a transgender man talking about not only transitioning but also about giving birth, nursing and being a parent to your partners children as well. I can’t imagine how difficult all of those things must have been and krys does a great job of explaining his emotions as it was happening and his emotions now while retelling his story. He doesn’t hold back which makes it even more real and raw. I would love a follow up to this. The reason it didn’t get 5 stars is because of the”logistics” of the adoptions. I wish he put a footnote for people that wanted to read the full adoption papers because it kinda lost me and I was more into the story of how it all played out in the end.
